Perhaps its because the maps are bigger and you feel like you can expand to new resources, but in 6 it's like. I don't recall how civ 5 handled it but I don't recall it being such an ARGH thing in Civ 5 either. Which is why I'm surprised civ 6 doesn't have a feature.
