while japanese only has a bit more citadel armor (drastically less armor on all else. and higher tier japanese and american fire pretty slowly (other than tier 10 american)Īnd tier 10 japanese could use a bit of a buff on something as currently tier 10 american has better guns, overall armor, mobility, and AA. Personally i think all cruisers could use a bit of an HP buff, as they get citadel hits on them alot. So americans are all about the AA and main guns However, unlike destroyers, japanese cruisers have a bad torpedo arc (aka your firing them from the back half of your ship. you will never get a torpedo hit for under 1k dmg) Nice thing about japanese torpedos is they have very long range, and alpha of 17k+ (unlike the max dmg of guns, torpedos tend to roll high alot. its better to think of them as bigger slower destroyers, than support cruisers like the americans. The japanese tend to have more armor on citadel, but less everywhere else. High tiers, americans have superior hp/armor at higher tiers. That's all I know, having played only US cruisers. Japanese cruisers tend to be tougher than American cruisers, and all Japanese cruisers have torpedoes.
